In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through him, and without him was not any thing made that was made. In him was life, and the life was the light of men. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.    John 1:1-5 ESV

Service To The Lord

Service to the Lord should be a calling, a burning desire, a work of obedience – not a financial strategy, not a source of income and not a career move.

In 1 Corinthians 2:12-13, the Apostle Paul says, “Now we have received not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might understand the things FREELY GIVEN us by God. AND WE IMPART THIS IN WORDS NOT TAUGHT BY HUMAN WISDOM BUT TAUGHT BY THE SPIRIT, INTERPRETING SPIRITUAL TRUTHS TO THOSE WHO ARE SPIRITUAL.”

If you are truly saved, the Holy Spirit will teach you and qualify you as a preacher, not a man-made degree from a Bible college.

All Christians are priests. As the Bible states in Revelation 1:5-6, “and from Jesus Christ the faithful witness, the firstborn of the dead, and the ruler of kings on earth. To him who loves us and has freed us from our sins by his blood and made us a kingdom, PRIESTS to his God and Father, to him be glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen.”

Cussing Christian?

If you call yourself a Christian and you use foul language in your daily speech, or go as far as to write out dirty words on your Facebook page and online, then you need to know what God says about foul language. I’m speaking of the God of the Bible, the same God that you claim to love and obey as a proclaimed Christian.

Let there be no filthiness nor foolish talk nor crude joking, which are out of place, but instead let there be thanksgiving. (Ephesians 5:4 ESV)

But now you must put them all away: anger, wrath, malice, slander, and obscene talk from your mouth. (Colossians 3:8 ESV)

Let no corrupting talk come out of your mouths, but only such as is good for building up, as fits the occasion, that it may give grace to those who hear. (Ephesians 4:29 ESV)

Let your speech always be gracious, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how you ought to answer each person. (Colossians 4:6 ESV)

For by your words you will be justified, and by your words you will be condemned. (Matthew 12:37 ESV)

Are You Striving To Be In God’s Will?

If your not living to serve God, honor God and truly striving to obey God’s Word to the letter, than you are not living in God’s will. So, if you are not living in God’s will.

And this is the confidence that we have toward him, that if we ask anything according to his will he hears us. (1 John 5:14 ESV)

Now the works of the flesh are evident: sexual immorality, impurity, sensuality, idolatry, sorcery, enmity, strife, jealousy, fits of anger, rivalries, dissensions, divisions, envy, drunkenness, orgies, and things like these. I warn you, as I warned you before, that those who do such things will not inherit the kingdom of God. (Galatians 5:19-21 ESV)

We know that God does not listen to sinners, but if anyone is a worshiper of God and does his will, God listens to him.(John 9:31 ESV)

“If you love me, you will keep my commandments. (John 14:15 ESV)

…..The prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working. (James 5:16 ESV)

Are You Paying Someone To Read The Bible To You?

Jesus said, “But you are not to be called rabbi, for you have one teacher, and you are all brothers. And call no man your father on earth, for you have one Father, who is in heaven. Neither be called instructors, for you have one instructor, the Christ. The greatest among you shall be your servant. Whoever exalts himself will be humbled, and whoever humbles himself will be exalted. (Matthew 23:8-12 ESV)

Jesus’ disciples should not try to gain authority over one another as teachers or masters, since Jesus is ultimately each disciple’s teacher and master (you have one teacher … one instructor), to whom the disciple is accountable.
