If you call yourself a Christian and you use foul language in your daily speech, or go as far as to write out dirty words on your Facebook page and online, then you need to know what God says about foul language. I’m speaking of the God of the Bible, the same God that you claim to love and obey as a proclaimed Christian.
Let there be no filthiness nor foolish talk nor crude joking, which are out of place, but instead let there be thanksgiving. (Ephesians 5:4 ESV)
But now you must put them all away: anger, wrath, malice, slander, and obscene talk from your mouth. (Colossians 3:8 ESV)
Let no corrupting talk come out of your mouths, but only such as is good for building up, as fits the occasion, that it may give grace to those who hear. (Ephesians 4:29 ESV)
Let your speech always be gracious, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how you ought to answer each person. (Colossians 4:6 ESV)
For by your words you will be justified, and by your words you will be condemned. (Matthew 12:37 ESV)
